February–June (High Water Season): Peak water flow and the most dramatic waterfall views. We recommend a raincoat and keeping valuables — passports, cameras, and phones — protected from spray. Devil's Pool and Angel's Pool are closed for swimming during this period.

June–August: Excellent safari season with pleasant, dry weather.

September–December (Low Water Season): Ideal for adventure activities such as white-water rafting and swimming at Devil's Pool on the Zambian side.

However, during peak season (June–August and December–January) and for popular activities such as sunset cruises, helicopter flights, and white-water rafting, we recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance to avoid missing out. The Boma dinner experience in particular is often fully booked, so it's best to reserve ahead.

What should I pack?

Pack light, neutral-coloured clothing, comfortable walking shoes or sandals, a rain jacket or poncho (November–March), a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and swimwear. For the Rainforest Walk, a waterproof jacket is a must — you will get wet!

Yes. Victoria Falls is one of Africa's safest tourist towns. It is small, walkable, and well policed in tourist areas. As with any destination, keep your valuables secure, avoid walking alone at night, and only book activities with registered operators. Do also keep an eye out for wildlife — warthogs, elephants, buffalo, and hippos are common in and around town, since Victoria Falls borders the national park.
